Matilda - Carpenter/Stagehand

At this point in my summer at Forestburgh, I was fairly comfortable with building sets for the raked stage. This was most likely our largest build of that summer season with a lot of cross-department collaboration. The first thing we needed to accomplish was creating the actor cube book stacks so that the kids could rehearse with them. Once that was done, we created bookshelves to attach to each portal. As I mentioned, this show had many parts of collaboration between the scenic and electrics. The book lights for the library, the false proscenium walls, and the bookshelves all had lighting elements, however, there was not enough time in tech for the bookshelf lights to be cued in, but all of our other scenic/lighting pieces worked as expected.
